The Third Grade Team At Windsor Elementary Was Recently Recognized!

Nancy Buttars, Cindy Jovet, and Denise Robinson are an excellent example of a collaborative team. This third grade team makes student learning the primary focus and driving force in all of their efforts and decisions. The team of Nancy, Cindy, and Denise are only going on their second year working together in third grade, but they have made some major strides and improvements in student learning during this time.
For example: In 2010, Windsor Elementary third grade proficiency in Language Arts was 57% and Math was 52%. When you compare this to what happened in 2011, the results and improvement is amazing. In 2011, third grade proficiency in Language Arts was 75% and Math was 75%, this is an increase of 18% and 23% of the students who tested proficient.
Nancy, Cindy, and Denise have developed “I Cans” for their students that is helping with learning and instruction. They are a great examples of a team that understands the principle of “continuous improvement”.  Congratulations to this third grade team, and the great job that they are doing at Windsor Elementary!
