Nebo School District Receives Prestigious Award

Nebo School District was presented the Innovators in Education Award by Weidenhammer Systems Corporation at their National Annual Users Conference on March 22, 2011. The award recognizes the most outstanding school district from across the nation that contributed the most to public education using Weidenhammer technology. The award was presented by President and CEO John Weidenhammer of Weidenhammer Systems Corporation.

Nebo School District’s finance, human resource, and technology departments have been diligently implementing software relating to payroll and accounts payable, purchasing, human resource services, and budgeting. Some of the new implementations include an employee portal, applicant portal, self-serve employee portal, and a data reporting tool.

Tracy Olsen, Nebo’s Business Administrator, commented, "Nebo was excited to recently receive the Innovators in Education Award from among the many wonderful school districts using Weidenhammer software across the nation. Nebo has been using the Alio financial software package for about six years. While the road has had some bumps in it, we are now at a point where the software is proving invaluable for day-to-day operations of Nebo School District. Many individuals have worked diligently to bring the district this award."

One of the recent innovations is the interface of GPS technology for the transportation, maintenance, and warehouse departments. The transportation department can check driving speed and location of every bus at any time. This application is beneficial in calculating payroll for our bus drivers. With 150 buses on the road, this technology is essential.

Congratulations to Nebo School District’s technology, finance, and human resource departments!
